Student Council is an organization through wich students may express their opinions, assist in making school decisions, and participate in the management of school activities. All students are considered members, but to be an active member, a student must attend two consecutive meetings at the beginning of the school year. Each member must then volunteer to serve on one standing committee, attend all Student Council sponsored activities, when required, and attend all meetings of the entire council.

The purposes of Student Council are to promote better understanding between students, faculty, and administration at Martin Kellogg, to promote school spirit, to generate interest and partivipation in school activities, to foster a positive attitude of creativity and enthusiasm in our school, to seek opportunities to help our community, to provide opportunities for students to practive parlaimentary procedure, and to develop leadership qualities. All Student Council memvers are required to remain in good academic and behavioral standing thoughout the school year.

The school bookstore is located in the northeast lobby near the Media Center and is open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:09 AM. The store is student operated and offers retailing and marketing experience to the students who run it in addition to supplying all students the convenience of being able to pruchase shcool supplies at good prices right in the school building. Pens, pencils, note pads, book covers, rulers, protractors and calculators are a few of the items available.
